Workspace
Welcome to our manuscript workspace!
As part of the InterSaME project, we have customized the Archetype software (previously called "the DigiPal framework"), a generic, open-source software framework for the analysis and presentation of palaeographical and related materials and texts. It was first developed as part of the Digital Resource and Database for Palaeography, Manuscript Studies and Diplomatic (DigiPal), a project funded by the European Research Council to bring digital technology to bear on the scholarly discussion of medieval handwriting. Later, the software was maintained by the King's Digital Lab at King's College London.
The software has been customized for annotating Qur'anic manuscript images and transcribing their text and features according to our structure of the writing system of early Qur’anic manuscripts and our classification of the manuscript features and readings.
If you are interested to navigate your way around the manuscript images, transcriptions and features, please log in. If you are planning to annotate and/or transcribe a manuscript using our model and tool, please contact us (alba.fedeli"AT"uni-hamburg.de).
If you log in, you accept that the system stores information on your device (cookies) which are essential for the application. There are no third party cookies.
